Summary: The Jacobi elliptic function expansion method is generalized, and using it to get many new exact periodic solutions of Zakharov Kuznetsov (ZK) equation and modified Zakharov-Kuznetsov (mZK) equation. Some of the solutions can be reduced to the solitary wave solutions of ZK equation or mZK equation under some certain conditions.
