Summary: Abel-Grassmann groupoids or shortly AG-groupoids have been considered in quite a number of papers, although under different names. In some papers they are named Left-Almost semigroups, LA-semigroups or left invertive groupoids. In this paper we introduce the notion of \(3\)-potent element and AG-3-band. We consider some relations on AG-3-bands, such as natural partial order and maximum idempotent separating congruence. We also introduce the notion of congruence pair on AG-3-bands and use it for describing congruences.
