Zadnick Stirn, L. (ed.) et al., SOR ’03 Proceedings. The 7th international symposium on operational research in Slovenia, Podčetrtek, Slovenia, September 24–26, 2003. Ljubljana: Slovenian Society Informatika, Section for Operational Research (ISBN 961-6165-15-1/pbk). 103-108 (2003).
Summary: In average even 60% of the entire product in an industrial company consists of component parts from suppliers. That increases the need for transport. The sequencing of wagons is a task where every operation is given a specific position on a timeline of a certain working place on the terminal. We assume that schedule planning and sequencing form a dynamic problem. Therefore, quick response on market demands is necessary. Integrated railway planning is used for a faster transition from road to railway transport, which is in the interest of environment and road preservation.
