Summary: We introduce the concept of a uniformly strongly ergodic class of states of a finite Markov chain. Some results on uniformly strongly ergodic classes are proved in Section 3. In Section 2 we generalize two theorems from our previous paper [ibid. 47, No. 3, 373-384 (2002)].
