An asymptotic method for solving non-stationary dynamic contact problems for an acoustic layer. (English. Russian original) Zbl 1017.74048

The author treats a contact problem on penetration of a rigid die in an acoustic layer. It is assumed that the half-width of the die exceeds the thickness of the acoustic layer. The author solves this problem by asymptotic technique. The formulas are obtained which relate the force acting on the die with the die displacement. The author also derives the motion law for a massive die on elastic layer in the case when the die possesses an initial velocity at the initial moment.
