Nonlinear parametric vibrations of cylindrical shell. (Russian) Zbl 1016.74032
The author studies low-frequency vibrations of thin cylindrical elastic shell. Vibrations are excited by a harmonic axially symmetric external force. Asymptotic integration technique and Bubnov-Galerkin method are applied to reduce the problem to the solution of a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Conditions for parametric instability and vibration amplitudes are found.
