Pseudoparticle representation and positivity analysis of explicit and implicit Steger-Warming FVS schemes. (English) Zbl 1004.76072
The paper deals with pseudo-particle representation and positivity analysis of an explicit and an implicit Steger-Warming flux vector splitting scheme (FVS) for compressible Euler equations. The idea of the pseudo-particle motion is used in the positivity proof. The authors show that first-order explicit and implicit schemes both preserve the positivity of density and internal energy under a CFL-like condition.
