Quaternions in Physics. Victorian curiosities or enlightening language? New insights 150 years after Hamilton’s discovery. (English) Zbl 1002.15030

The author gives a very basic introduction into the theory of quaternions and Clifford algebras. However he does not provide analytical tools, even if mentioning Cartan’s differential forms, which are utterly needed for the applications in physics.
The paper is mathematically and historically un-precise, furthermore all equation numbers and references are not resolved due to a TEXproblem which makes the paper difficult to read.
