Note on the dispersion relations of ultrasound propagation. (English) Zbl 0981.76080

Starting from the model of discrete Boltzmann equation proposed by R. Gatignol [Complex Syst. 1, No. 4, 709-725 (1987; Zbl 0652.76053)], the author analyses the dispersion relation of forced sound propagation in rarefied gases, and compares the theoretical results with some experiments.
