Generalized ageing classes in terms of Laplace transforms. (English) Zbl 0980.60110
The author presents characterizations of the general aging classes \(s\)-IFR, \(s\)-IFRA, \(s\)-NBU, and their duals, in terms of Laplace transforms. Most of the known Laplace transform characterizations of aging classes follow as particular cases.
