Wavelet stabilization and preconditioning for domain decomposition. (English) Zbl 0966.65076
Wavelets are used to circumvent the usual inf-sup-conditions needed for the stability of the discretization of the three fields formulation for domain decomposition methods. The resulting discrete problem additionally admits an optimal preconditioner.
