This paper is concerned with a three-dimensional elastic stress analysis of anisotropic plates with undulating surfaces under bending loads. By means of appropriate series representations of stresses and displacements it is shown that the stress values at the undulating top surface of a plate may differ considerably from those of a perfectly flat top surface.
