Flows with boundary layers in unbounded regions. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0947.76091

As is well known, in the description of a rather intensive motion of fluid in a boundary region, boundary Prandtl layers and Marangoni layers appear near free boundaries. Here, flows with Marangoni layers are considered in the case in which the velocity of external flow and the velocity of shear stresses have opposite directions. The author establishes a condition for appearance of counterflows. Near a contact point of three phases, an analog of Prandtl boundary layer is constructed. Some examples are presented.
(The title of the article is translated incorrectly. It should be read as follows: “Flows with boundary layers in regions with free boundaries.”).
