Robust stabilization of uncertain input-delay systems by sliding mode control with delay compensation. (English) Zbl 0931.93015
A sliding mode control is proposed for robust stabilization of uncertain linear input-delay systems with nonlinear parametric perturbations. A sliding surface is designed to compensate the input-delay. The derived robust control law ensures the existence of a sliding mode and overcomes the effects of the delay and uncertainty. The proposed scheme depends on the size of the delay. A guideline for the design of the sliding surface is also given. Numerical simulations illustrate the proposed approach.
