CAD-based electric-circuit modeling in industry. II: Impact of circuit configurations and parameters. (English) Zbl 0923.65040
In this second part the authors discuss the impact of the circuit structure and of design parameters on the mathematical structure of the network equations [for the first part see ibid. 8, No. 2, 97-129 (1999; reviewed above)]. It is shown on a number of examples that index, sensitivity and well-posedness of the system may depend on the values of technical circuit parameters. The authors also discuss the appearance of higher index systems and possible approaches to index reduction. The effect of such regularisations are again demonstrated at a number of small examples. In an appendix a first order model for MOS transistors is described.
