A production lot size inventory model for deteriorating items and arbitrary production and demand rates. (English) Zbl 0913.90091

Summary: We present a method for finding the optimal replenishment schedule for the production lot size model with deteriorating items, where demand and production are allowed to vary with time in arbitrary way in which shortages are allowed. The method is illustrated by a numerical example.
