On the primal bifurcation of cylindrical shell of composite material. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 0912.73021

Summary: We derive general Kármán-Donnell equations for a simply supported, finite length cylindrical shell subjected to hydrostatic or lateral pressure. The derivation uses the related characteristics of composite material, the Kirchhoff-Love’s hypotheses of moderately large deformation of shell as well as shallow shell approximation. Then we calculate simple and multiple eigenvalues and obtain primary bifurcation points.
