FDM-FEM operator-splitting method with high order accuracy for convection-diffusion equation. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 0898.65053

Summary: A finite difference (FD) – finite element (FE) operator splitting method with higher-order accuracy for 2D unsteady convection-diffusion equations is developed which combines the quadratic upstream interpolation scheme with the finite element method with nine point isoparameter elements.
