Robust decentralized stabilization of large-scale delay systems via sliding mode control. (English) Zbl 0882.93002
The paper deals with the decentralized stabilization of uncertain interconnected delayed continuous-time systems using sliding mode control. Mismatched uncertainties are considered in states as unknown time-varying functions with known constant bounds. Time delays are considered in interconnections only. A proportional-integral sliding manifold is used for each subsystem. A sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of the overall system using local sliding mode controllers is proved. Further, the condition which must be satisfied so that decentralized sliding mode controllers guarantee the existence of a sliding motion is proved. An illustrative example is supplied.
