Let \(\varphi\) be a non-constant analytic map of the unit disc into itself. The authors consider composition operators defined by \(C_\varphi (f)=f\circ \varphi\), acting on Dirichlet spaces in the disk. In particular the authors consider the question of which composition operators have closed range.
