Blending an implicit with a parametric surface. (English) Zbl 0875.65032

Summary: A method for blending an implicit surface with a parametric surface is introduced. The blending surface is defined as a collection of intersection curves of correlated pairs of surfaces. With a simple additional condition one can achieve \(G^{2}\)-continuous transitions between the blending surface and the given surfaces.
