A sensitivity study of transient groundwater flow using dual reciprocity boundary element method. (English) Zbl 0867.76050

Brebbia, C. A. (ed.) et al., Boundary elements XVIII. Proceedings of the 18th international conference on boundary elements, BEM 18 and the 3rd international workshop on fluid mechanics, Braga, Portugal, September 24–26, 1996. Southampton: Computational Mechanics Publications. 637-646 (1996).
Summary: A confined aquifer square in plan, with a pumping well, is considered as a typical model. The aim of the sensitivity study is to determine the influence of various dual reciprocity boundary element model parameters on the accuracy of the solution, and the influence of field parameters on the transient groundwater flow.
