Two problems from draining flows involving third-order ordinary differential equations. (English) Zbl 0845.34033
Summary: A mathematical analysis is given of two third-order ordinary differential equations which arise in models for flows of thin viscous films over solid surfaces. Questions about existence, uniqueness, and qualitative properties of solutions are discussed.
