Unsteady flow of a viscous liquid over an inclined permeable bed under a periodic surface traction. (English) Zbl 0831.76081

We investigate the flow of a viscous liquid over an inclined saturated permeable bed within which there exists an initial pressure gradient and at the surface of which Beavers and Joseph condition is satisfied. A periodic force is assumed to act on the upper surface of the liquid along the transverse direction. We are interested in finding the slip velocity at the permeable boundary and the effect of permeability on the shear stress at the boundary.
