Dynamics and stability of laminated plates with interlaminar imperfections. (English) Zbl 0823.73035
Summary: The effects of interlaminar bonding micro-imperfections on the dynamic and stability behaviour of thin laminated plates are investigated, and refined approach to the theory of laminated plates with initial interlaminar bonding defects is proposed. The particular case of linear- elastic materials is considered, but in the framework of nonlinear plate theory. The resulting equations are applied to the evaluation of bonding imperfection and inhomogeneity effects on a critical force and a free vibration frequency for a simply supported laminated plate.
