Geometrically nonlinear sandwich plates undergoing shear deformations. (Geometrisch nichtlineare Sandwichplatten unter Berücksichtigung von Schubdeformationen.) (German) Zbl 0820.73039

A consistent geometrical nonlinear theory of first approximation or plates with \(p\) layers including shear deformations is derived. Constitutive equations are presented by using an appropriate shear- correction factor. An application of the theory and the influence of shear deformations relative to displacements and real force quantities are investigated by referring to a thick sandwich plate with different boundary conditions.
