Relativistic quantum frames. (English) Zbl 0782.47020
Summary: The general theory of frames, analyzed mathematically in the preceding paper, is applied here to the problem of quantizing a classical system. Frames provide a method of quantization which generalizes the coherent state approach and fits neatly with the operational meaning of quantum measurements. Next, concrete examples of quantum frames, each generated by a single vector (the “quantum probe”) are constructed, for three different relativities – Galilei, Poincaré, and anti-deSitter – and their mutual relationship, in terms of group contraction, is explored.
