Fixed point theorems for nonexpansive type mapping in convex metric spaces. (English) Zbl 0761.54035
Summary: We prove the existence of fixed points for nonexpansive type mappings in convex metric spaces. These results generalize those of D. S. Jaggi [Contemp. Math. 21, 147-149 (1983; Zbl 0539.47037)] and W. Takahashi [Kōdai math. Sem. Reports 22, 142-149 (1970; Zbl 0268.54048)] and others.
