Optimal control problems of linear quadratic time-delay systems via block-pulse functions. (Chinese. English summary) Zbl 0746.49026
Summary: Linear time delay systems are transformed into large-scale linear interconnected systems without delay. Using the block-pulse function we not only derive the explicit hierarchical and recursive algorithm which yields piecewise constant solutions to an optimal control law but also acquire the on-line control. The algorithm is effective to both small and large delay systems and especially appropriate for large delay systems.
