Numerical methods for the solution of ill-posed problems. (Chislennye metody resheniya nekorrektnykh zadach.) (Russian. English summary) Zbl 0712.65042

Moskva: Nauka. 230 p. R. 2.40 (1990).
The book presents the theory and numerical methods for the solution of mathematical problems which are ill-posed and subject to experimental errors. Apriori information concerning the exact solution may be used. Theorems are stated precisely, and some brief proofs are presented.
In the first chapter, basic material from the theory of regularization is collected. Chapter 2 contains a course on numerical methods for the approximate solution of ill-posed problems on compacts. The central part of this work consists of Chapter 3 on algorithms for the approximate solution of ill-posed problems on special sets and Chapter 4 on algorithms and programs for the solution of linear ill-posed problems. The Appendix consists of nine Fortran programs for the solution of Fredholm integral equations of the first kind.
The list of references contains 220 items, 106 of which are written in Russian.
