By using a local Rohlin lemma and a Connes’ Folner type condition, the author gives a proof of Connes’ theorem that injectivity implies hyperfiniteness for finite von Neumann algebras. The proof is similar but shorther than that given in J. Oper. Theory 16, 261-272 (1986; Zbl 0638.46043) by the same author.
