The author proves the continuity of the lattice of subvarieties of the variety of pro-p-groups of the form \(AN_ 2\cap N_ 6\) where A is the variety of all abelian pro-p-groups and \(N_ c\) is the variety of all nilpotent pro-p-groups of nilpotence class at most c. This is interesting since by a theorem of I. V. Protasov any variety of pro-finite groups is finitely based. The key point in the proof is the correspondence between varieties of pro-p-groups and varieties of Lie algebras over the p-adic number field.
