The paper is devoted to the analysis and applications of stability properties of important classes of invariant subspaces with symmetries - Lagrangian subspaces. These subspaces are invariant for real matrices which are either symmetric or skew-symmetric with respect to a real quadratic form, and they are maximal isotropic with respect to the same quadratic form.
