Gravity as a gauge theory with Cartan connection. (English) Zbl 0651.53062

A general framework to describe gravity in terms of the gauge formalism on a fiber bundle with Cartan connection is given. By postulating a quadratic Lagrangian. The Yang’s formulation of gravity is expressed in terms of the Cartan connection. Next, BRS transformation is discussed [see also the paper of M. Kugo and I. Ojima, Prog. Theor. Phys. Suppl. No. 66, 130 p. (1979)]. The BRS invariance of the theory, supplemented by Faddeev-Popov and gauge fixing terms is analyzed here in some detail.

This reference list is based on information provided by the publisher or from digital mathematics libraries. Its items are heuristically matched to zbMATH identifiers and may contain data conversion errors. In some cases that data have been complemented/enhanced by data from zbMATH Open. This attempts to reflect the references listed in the original paper as accurately as possible without claiming completeness or a perfect matching.
