A note on the delete-d jackknife variance estimators. (English) Zbl 0629.62044

A new delete-d jackknife variance estimator \(V^*_{J(d)}\) is proposed, which differs from the original delete-d jackknife estimator \(V_{J(d)}\). It is shown that \(V^*_{J(d)}\) is less biased than \(V_{J(d)}\).
