The author gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the validity of the equality \[ \int^{+\infty}_{0}f(x) dx=\lim_{h\to 0+}\sum^{\infty}_{k=1}f(kh)h \] with many applications (e.g. in calculating integrals, partial fraction representations, etc.).
