Transition from annular flow and from dispersed bubble flow-unified models for the whole range of pipe inclinations. (English) Zbl 0599.76121
New models are suggested for the transition from annular to intermittent flow and from dispersed bubble flow for two-phase gas-liquid flow in inclined pipes. The models display a smooth change in mechanisms as the pipe inclination varies over the whole range of upward and downward inclinations. The results of the models compare favorably with experimental data.
