On the theory of curvilinear Timoshenko-type rods. (English. Russian original) Zbl 0562.73044

Summary: An asymptotically exact theory of isotropic Timoshenko-type rods is developed. The variational problem is formulated for the cross-section in order to calculate the transverse shear coefficients. Shear coefficients are obtained for a series of transverse cross-sections.
