Numerical analysis of equations of a beam in a curved cylinder. (Russian) Zbl 0552.65081
The authors consider the problem of the trajectories of rays of light in a curved cylinder (a ”wire” of circular cross section. Particular attention is paid to the case where the surface of the cylinder is specularly reflecting, and where the ”wire” is of helical form. A discussion is also given of invariance along the trajectories.
