Similarity solutions of the boundary-layer equations for a stretching wall. (English) Zbl 0538.76039
(Author’s summary.) A class of similarity solutions of the boundary-layer equations corresponding to the flow engendered solely by a stretching surface is presented. The resulting ordinary differential equation which contains a parameter \(\beta\) is discussed in a detailed manner by complementing the previously known special cases with new analytical and numerical solutions. Discussion is also made of certain nonsimilarity solutions.
