From the text: This article may be regarded as a sequel to a previous paper [the author and J. P. Burman, Biometrika 33, 305–325 (1946; Zbl 0063.06274)]. We consider first the determination of main effects, and find what modifications are required when certain of the orthogonal transformations previously used are no longer orthogonal.
