Welcome
[edit]Hello, welcome to Wiktionary, and thank you for your contributions so far.
If you are unfamiliar with wiki-editing, take a look at Help:How to edit a page. It is a concise list of technical guidelines to the wiki format we use here: how to, for example, make text boldfaced or create hyperlinks. Feel free to practice in the sandbox. If you would like a slower introduction we have a short tutorial.
These links may help you familiarize yourself with Wiktionary:
- Entry layout (EL) is a detailed policy on Wiktionary's page formatting; all entries must conform to it. The easiest way to start off is to copy the contents of an existing same-language entry, and then adapt it to fit the entry you are creating.
- Check out Language considerations to find out more about how to edit for a particular language.
- Our Criteria for Inclusion (CFI) defines exactly which words can be added to Wiktionary; the most important part is that Wiktionary only accepts words that have been in somewhat widespread use over the course of at least a year, and citations that demonstrate usage can be asked for when there is doubt.
- If you already have some experience with editing our sister project Wikipedia, then you may find our guide for Wikipedia users useful.
- If you have any questions, bring them to Wiktionary:Information desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Whenever commenting on any discussion page, please sign your posts with four tildes (
~~~~
) which automatically produces your username and timestamp. - You are encouraged to add a BabelBox to your userpage to indicate your self-assessed knowledge of languages.
Enjoy your stay at Wiktionary! Rodrigo5260 (talk) 00:09, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
Khanty Split
[edit]Hello there @Nyuhn! We are moving forward with splitting the Ob-Ugric languages, and I wanted to ask you if you could help us split at least the dialect modules you made for Khanty! Here are the links to the new languages:
- Category:Southern Khanty language
- Category:Northern Khanty language
- Category:Eastern Khanty language
- Sure I can. Nyuhn (talk) 12:25, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
Hello, Nyuhn. I have no opinion on whether the т (t) in this term should be capitalised, but I note that w:ru:Треугольник Ленне capitalises it throughout that article. Just FYI. 0DF (talk) 13:08, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- I see. I'm starting a discussion on ru-wiki. There are not many sources on Russian about the Triangle. The one I could find easily is the site of the Berlin Wall. Nyuhn (talk) 13:21, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- Cool. I really just wanted to reassure you that I'd checked that Википедия article to make sure I got the capitalisation and declension right; I didn't just assume that it would have the same capitalisation as English and that it would necessarily follow the declension of треуго́льник (treugólʹnik). Re that Russian article on the Berlin Wall, note that it isn't consistent in its capitalisation; the penultimate paragraph of § «Oбзор» reads «К ним относились Треугольник Ленне на Потсдамской площади,…». 0DF (talk) 23:32, 25 April 2024 (UTC)
- Did anything come of that discussion you started on ru-wiki? 0DF (talk) 19:24, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
Оформление цитаты
[edit]Здравствуйте, хочу для милуяй указать том (II), книгу (XVIII), строку (420) и страницу (102), но не знаю каков должен быть формат, подскажите, пожалуйста, как правильно оформить. ПростаРечь (talk) 17:57, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Вот так:
{{RQ:Telemakhida|18|102|420|text=Лепотен был я, щедр, справедлив, и '''милуяй''' прочих.|t=}}
