This is preposterous. I do not have any sockpuppet accounts whatsoever. There is also a lot of joe jobbing going on by certain users on Wikipedia against me in a case regarding Uncyclopedia as they have been creating accounts at Uncyclopedia.ca in an attempt to impersonate Wikipedia users and they have all been blocked as sockpuppets. They are not my sockpuppets. This investigation is frivolous at best. BFDIBebble (talk) 01:01, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, uncyclopedia.ca is not my website. I am a user on that wiki. I don't know where the alleged sockpuppet has claimed that they are myself but I can assure you I only operate this one singular account. BFDIBebble (talk) 01:02, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
CU requested. General Ization Talk 01:03, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • It might be important to note that BFDIBebble has claimed (above) to be a user on uncyclopedia.ca, yet has not given their username on that website. There is a user on uncyclopedia.ca named BFDIBebble, but that user has claimed that they are not the Wikipedia user BFDIBebble (see this diff on uncyclopedia.ca), but that their username on Wikipedia is User:Ljcool2006. I am just simply adding that this user is highly involved in the topic of Uncyclopedia, and for some reason chose a very specific username of an entirely different person with an uncyclopedia.ca account. RAGentry (talk) 01:14, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ban him permanently. I noticed on his talkpage, he has been reported by others earlier as well as a suspected sockpuppet. He also uses JJFuego alias for the BFDIBebble account, perhaps to mislead. Coincidentally I saw sockppept investigation post on his talkpage while leaving a message in his talkpage regarding other unrelated "seemingly deliberate mess" he was making with my edits. He seems to be going around to make deliberate mess with multiple unrelated editors on multiple unrelated articles. He does not seem care about being banned. It is his "serial dysfunctional behavior" which raises the red flag. Few minutes ago, he reverted my valid edits, when I called him out on his talkpage, he [[User_talk:BFDIBebble#stop|]] hit me back with an UNWARRANTED WARNING on my talkpage. That immediately raised my concerns that he is NOT here as a SINCERE and SERIOUS EDITOR, instead just pushing his luck in a DISRUPTIVE MANNER to test how long he can last. I am also unrelated to his other edit wars, uncyclopedia, etc as I have never edited there. I have no wikipedia account. I have always been an IP. I have not come across him elsewhere, today was the first time. But he left an instant RED FLAG impression. 58.182.176.169 (talk) 01:54, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
He does not stop, ban fast. After making the above comment, I also noticed that user BFDIBebble deliberately stalked WP:STALKING me few other articles I was editing and just out of spite (deliberate WP:DISRUPTIVE and WP:VANDAL and reverted my edits there without any comment of explanation. This guy is living on the borrowed breath, please put him on "immediate temporary suspension" while the investigation lasts so that he can not vandalise more articles. This guy is a "serial trouble maker", hence just now I ended up leaving him a warning on his talkpage. 58.182.176.169 (talk) 02:11, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
IP, this report alleges one thing: sockpuppetry. If the suspected sockmaster is cleared of that allegation, no action will be taken on your other complaints against them made here, as that is not the purpose of this page. The usual channels exist to report editor misbehavior unrelated to sockpuppetry. Please do not expound on it here. General Ization Talk 02:14, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This is absolutely prepostorous. I did not create any of these accounts. I am being set up by members of Uncyclopedia.co. I will continue to dispute these claims and I will continue to edit Wikipedia. BFDIBebble (talk) 17:18, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@BFDIBebble: The checkuser's findings are not debatable. If you have an alternative explanation as to how the sock accounts were created in such a way as to be directly linked (technically, not by some non-technical claims of someone you may have had disagreements with), now would be the time to offer it. At this point, the window of time for you to do so is shrinking, as your ability to edit Wikipedia will be removed as soon as an admin has an opportunity to act on the checkuser's findings. At that point, you have the right to appeal the decision, but not continue to edit using this or any other account or IP. General Ization Talk 19:23, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

Something common across several of PKHilliam's sockpuppets is their desire to push uncyclopedia.ca, a fork of Uncyclopedia that was created in 2019, as the "main site" referenced within the Uncyclopedia article. This would replace uncyclopedia.co, which has existed since 2013.

In 2019, both 9cfilorux and Spike-from-NH made cases for linking the recently-created uncyclopedia.ca as the main site, mirroring many of the same talking points posted by BFDIBebble, Senor Laughs, Sircaustix, and Susborne. All four of the latter accounts are confirmed sockpuppets of PKHilliam.

9cfilorux has created several doppelgänger accounts of their own, including one named Llwy-ar-lawr. This username translated from Welsh to English means "Spoon-on-floor," the name of another confirmed sockpuppet belonging to PKHilliam. Previous versions of 9cfilorux's userpage also list the names "Spike Lechat" and "SpikeTheCat" (see the collapsible box titled "Userboxes") as aliases.

Additionally, BFDIBebble's most recent edit distances himself from uncyclopedia.ca by pointing to "Llwy-ar-lawr" as the co-webmaster alongside Q788771, who is permanently blocked for abusing multiple accounts and influencing votes relating to the inclusion of uncyclopedia.ca on Wikipedia. • uncyclopedia.ca is not "new" but is the current home of the content formerly at Wikia/Fandom, from which the other website broke off in 2013. I edited the Uncyclopedia article to state this rather than the opposite version, repeated in the accusation above. The approved result of this dispute (other than a complaint opened against me) was agreement to cite both websites and include a brief description of the disagreement and split, with no value judgements. That text was stable for several years and I know of no news that would argue for a change. It seems the only reason I am included in this is that (1) I have an impostor and (2) I share an opinion with someone else. I have not edited Wikipedia under any other username. Suspected sockpuppets

[edit]

The edits made by Romartus Imperator and 87.110.168.208 feel extremely reminiscent of edits made by User:PKHilliam, and especially their sockpuppet User:BFDIBebble. A draft article at Draft:Uncyclopedia_(spoon), created by Romartus Imperator as his 2nd edit, is a copy of the article at User:BFDIBebble/Uncyclopedia, deleted following an XFD, and used to replace the Uncyclopedia article on several occasions, using the "draft article" as a template to spread their domain Uncyclopedia.ca, one which (as previously discussed) is significantly less relevant than Uncyclopedia.co (Uncyclopedia.co has around 6x more active editors, excluding accounts created as sockpuppets of PKHilliam on Uncyclopedia.ca: this has been established on Uncyclopedia's talk page, previously). The way 87.110.168.208 pushes the fork as "unauthorized" ("an unauthorized fork using the English language prefix", as within this edit to the Uncyclopedia page, and the way Romartus Imperator considers .ca the "spoon", an internal term used by .ca to describe their website, a point I have previously established in a 3RR report on the admin noticeboard and has been demonstrated in other edits, can be used as evidence to demonstrate a connection between the aforementioned users and BFDIBebble (and by extent PKHilliam).

One notable detail is how Romartus Imperator calls uncyclopedia.co an "unauthorized fork". This behavior is mirrored by BFDIBebble in his final edit, and is shown on various edits by various sockpuppets of PKHilliam, such as here, here, at Draft:Uncyclopedia (spoon) and User:BFDIBebble/Uncyclopedia. This is not coincidental, as various "edit warriors", some later found to be sockpuppets, been attempting to remove .co by calling the latter an "unauthorized fork".

Another point to note is that a user named Romartus is an administrator on .ca. PKHilliam is no stranger to impersonating others: for example, User:Susborne, created in order to impersonate The Guardian journalist Simon Usborne, as seen here, has been linked to PKHilliam. This can be seen as another attempt to "distance oneself" from PKHilliam, the sockmaster, by associating oneself with another, more established user on .ca.

One final point that I can use to draw the connection is Romartus Imperator's first edit: his 1st edit, as seen here on Special:Contributions, is a harsh warning to the IP 58.182.176.169. A user using the aforementioned IP address has participated in the initial sockpuppet investigation that got PKHilliam (and by extension BFDIBebble) blocked, has asked to have BFDIBebble banned, and has not edited the wiki since April 28th, 2020. The fact that Romartus Imperator would leave such a stern warning four or five days after 58.182.167.169's last edit proves that he is attempting to eliminate anyone who tries to oppose him, and draws an obvious line between BFDIBebble (and by extension PKHilliam) and him.

In summary, the editing style and methods used by Romartus Imperator and 87.110.168.208 feel strongly reminiscent of the methods used by BFDIBebble (a sockpuppet of PKHilliam) to push the domain uncyclopedia.ca using the Uncyclopedia article on Wikipedia. If it looks like a duck, it swims like a duck and acts like a duck, it probably is a duck. The way Romartus Imperator established themself a number of days prior to Uncyclopedia being unprotected, using Twinkle extensively to warn users (compare Romartus Imperator's contributions to BFDIBebble's contributions), also helps establish this point. The edits performed on Uncyclopedia are strikingly similar, and the use of "proxy pages" such as here is also a common point. The evidence is quite overwhelming, and a CheckUser to confirm whether Romartus Imperator is related to PKHilliam seems necessary. Feel free to run whatever checks you like. I am not a sockpuppet and the behavior committed by the reporter is very concerning as they currently have their own sockpuppetry investigation going on. KevTYD clearly has a conflict of interest and is not here to build an encyclopedia, but rather POV push instead and you will see this in their contributions. Romartus Imperator (talk) 22:38, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • You have provided little to no evidence that I am a sockpuppet of User:Rock-O-Jello. All the evidence you have is the fact that I have reverted your edits and/or User:BFDIBebble's edits on several occasions. Your claims have little to no weight.
  • Your belief that I am not here to build an encyclopedia stems clearly and solely from the fact that you are currently attempting to have me removed from Wikipedia as soon as possible. You are attempting to vandalize a page repeatedly, whether it's under your name or as one of your suspected sockmaster's sockpuppets. You initiated the sockpuppet investigation solely to attack me, without providing any evidence minus the fact that I do have the page Uncyclopedia on my watchlist, and I'm merely trying to enforce the status quo as determined on its talk page. KevTYD (talk) 23:08, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It appears I have already been checked and there was no relation. Therefore this investigation is a false accusation and should be closed. Romartus Imperator (talk) 20:31, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Technical evidence and behavioral evidence are two different things. I filed this report mostly using behavioral evidence. Even if the technical evidence does not point towards you using sockpuppets, it is possible to determine sockpuppetry via behavioral evidence. Your use of proxies suggest that you are attempting to evade something: perhaps you're trying to run from the cold, harsh truth? KevTYD (talk) 23:08, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am not the person you think I am. I suggest you stop hounding me across various pages to spread misinformation. I use a VPN online like many people do. It does not mean anything. Romartus Imperator (talk) 23:19, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have valid reasons to suspect you as a sockpuppet, as I have outlined above. Many of your edits draw a pattern with BFDIBebble, which is why I opened this SPI in the first place. BFDIBebble has used the "VPN excuse" on his final edit> Also, why would someone impersonate me right at this moment on .ca in order to vandalize it? Every time BFDIBebble engaged on an edit war on the Uncyclopedia article, similar trolls have popped up on .ca. KevTYD (talk) 23:32, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Firstly what happens at Uncyclopedia stays at Uncyclopedia. Secondly if I apparently have a conflict of interest in favor of .ca then why would I troll there? Given your hounding and COI in favor of .co, I would suspect that you are in fact the one trolling at .ca. You always seem to be around when there is Uncyclopedia-related trouble. Now please stop hounding and stalking me across Wikipedia and maybe stop digging for what is not there. Romartus Imperator (talk) 23:36, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You're just trying to flip the blame on me. I have been keeping a keen eye on the Uncyclopedia article primarily because of the great amount of vandalism and sockpuppetry that has happened there. Please let a SPI clerk and/or a CheckUser do their job. I have already presented all of my evidence. KevTYD (talk) 23:40, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I can confirm this 'Romartus Imperator' account is not me. I am Gepid here. I did take the original Romartus on wikipedia but then lost the password/email address. I am known as Romartus on uncyclopedia.ca and uncyclopedia.co --Gepid (talk) 23:52, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Another piece of evidence I must bring up is your attempt to "distance yourself from the drama", again, by requesting a new username using WP:RENAME/Simple as shown here. This has been done by User:BFDIBebble during the 48 hours before he was banned, as shown here. KevTYD (talk) 23:38, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wanting to change usernames is not an indicator of anything. Your evidence is flimsy, bitey and not assuming good faith in an attempt to attack another editor, being myself. Romartus Imperator (talk) 23:40, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your attempt to deny your involvement in all of this, seen by you removing my comment on WP:Rename/Simple, just proves even further that you are responsible for this. Because of this, and Revert, block and ignore, I will no longer reply to any of your attempts to refute my points unless necessary. KevTYD (talk) 23:46, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, Romartus Imperator has replaced his talk page with Template:Retired, as done by BFDIBebble on his user page, 1 minute prior to being blocked. KevTYD (wake up) 18:16, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Note: Added 220.123.235.96 because their first edit is trying to influence the RfC for Uncyclopedia in favor of .ca. Very suspicious, in my opinion. KevTYD (wake up) 19:25, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I am a user at Uncyclopedia but am using a generic accountname to protect my identity as I am not comfortable using my primary accountname given the nature of the situation. While I am not sure of the situation with "Romartus Imperator", despite being a name similar to an admin at the site, I do know for a fact that the reporter, KevTYD, is known to have created sockpuppets at our site (along with another administrator of the Uncyclopedia.co fork) using open proxy servers and uploading indecent images. I would not be surprised to learn that he has been using sockpuppets on open proxies at Wikipedia either, but going through his contributions he does seem to be biting anybody who may be in preference of our site and referring to them as sockpuppets. This behavior is very suspicious and, while again I am unsure of the connection between KevTYD and the supposed sockpuppet accounts, I am not entirely sure he is acting in good faith, given his actions on our Uncyclopedia site. We are aware of the sockpuppet investigations taking place and I feel that a comment is required here to explain from our perspective that both the report filer and the accused may not in fact be acting in the best interests of both Uncyclopedia or Wikipedia. Thank you for reading. Uncyclopediauser1 (talk) 22:35, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've applied three months of WP:ECP to the Uncyclopedia article due to the apparent sock or meatpuppetry. There was also a recent 3RR case which led to an RfC on Talk:Uncyclopedia to choose between Uncyc.co versus Uncyc.ca. The RfC did not calm the dispute, and from this point on it seems unlikely that persuasion will be successful. As soon as full protection expired the parties were back at it. It appears the dispute has been going since 2018 or before. If some of the parties carrying on the long term war pass the 500-edit threshold the EC protection won't help any more, but the option of partial blocks from Uncyclopedia will be available to admins. Dear admins/checkers,

A. Inquiry: I suspect the currently active User:Romartus Imperator (account created on 2 May 2020), and perhaps even User:Suneye1, are the sockpuppet of the User:BFDIBebble (account banned on 28 April 2020, see evidence 1. User BFDIBebble's mastersock is User:PKHilliam, whose numerous sockpuppet accounts have been banned over the years, see evidence 2.

B. To understand how the User:Romartus Imperator is a sockpuppet of User:BFDIBebble, please read item A and B of the evidence 3. Evidence especially meets the criteria outlined in the section 2.2, 2.5, 2.8, 2.9, 2.13, etc. of the Wikipedia:Signs of sock puppetry.

C. To understand how the User:Suneye1 is either a sockpuppet or a meatpuppet / collaborator of User:BFDIBebble (User:Romartus Imperator), please read the evidence 4. Evidence especially meets the criteria outlined in the section 1.3, 2.3, 2.4, 2.9, etc. of the Wikipedia:Signs of sock puppetry.

D. I have left a message on his talk page to inform him. Thank you all for volunteering your time to keep wikiepdia safe from the serial troublemakers. 58.182.176.169 (talk) 10:08, 10 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

here is a diff with the edit summary "POV pushing", and here is a diff by one of the (now blocked) socks saying "Please stop pushing your unauthorized fork". This diff uses Twinkle, this diff also uses Twinkle. Not to mention, these diffs unilaterally and without consensus change the "official site" from .co to .ca. This is no longer a problem because the page is XCON protected now and I got consensus on the talk page to include both forks on the Uncyclopedia article. Oh, and these diffs are functionally identical, I just realized taking a second look. These all seem like red flags.
