Joe Pittman

Just curious, do you have a reliable source for the date of death being the June 12th? As I stated on the Talk Page, both Baseball-reference and his obituary list June 13 as the date of death. I removed the information about the collapse at the job site because of a lack a reliable source. Could you (possibly, please) point me in the direction (a local newspaper or TV station, for example) of a source, and I can make appropriate citation. Joe used to work for me. Although he was not working for our company on this particular job, I got first hand accounts of the incident. Joe was working nights which explains the official date if death to be the 13th.

Thanks! for the date clarification. (A similar situation happened over a decade ago with my dad's dying at home of cancer. While we, the family, knew it was shortly before midnight, by the time the public officials got to the house, it was after midnight, hence a different, but official, date of death.)
Wikipedia has a policy of no original research (see WP:NOR). Is it possible that while your edit is factually true (and I don't doubt your veracity), it is original research because of the lack of a reliable (that is, outside) source? Bob305 (talk) 03:56, 23 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
