[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#RedState, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. — Newslinger talk 20:52, 27 February 2019 (UTC)
re Wing Chun
[edit]Hello Bverji. I reverted your recent edits on Wing Chun because, contrary to what you said in one of your edit summaries, you received no consensus for these rather big changes to the article, and in fact only got one person disagreeing with you. Please hold off on these changes until you have consensus. Thanks, PopoDameron (talk) 03:12, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
- This was a separate matter then what was discussed before. I wasn't indicating that I got a consensus, but referring to the fact that on the talk page we talked about things being sourced. You were reverting things that are unsourced, things put on the article page that already has list page for, and lists that should have their own page. None of this is anything that there should need to be a consensus for, they all break established rules of Wikipedia. This is also not a big change it is literally a 2 item list and a list that already existed on the link page. Bverji (talk) 22:02, 22 September 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Wing Chun pop culture
[edit]A tag has been placed on Category:Wing Chun pop culture indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! - The article content was removed and then requested that it be deleted. This is the beginning of a list page for the Wing Chun Article. This page is linked from Wing Chun as a supplemental list page. Current information was just transposed to this page from the Wing Chun "in popular culture" section, but given time (hopefully over the weekend) to edit this page will grow to be a longer list, and then reorganized into sub-categories. It is a work in progress. --Bverji (talk) 02:30, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
- This is not what a category is for. Categories are part of a nested categorical hierarchy for the entire project that groups articles on similar subjects together in many interconnected levels. A category page does not contain article content, they are not for lists. You seem to be really getting in over-your-head here into areas you don't understand, please stick with improving articles and discussing possible changes on article talk pages. Liz Read!
