Starting the Page

[edit]

I hope it's ok to start this page. There seemd to be getting too much to be on the main page, but equally too much to throw away. Editor, please let me know if there's a problem.

I'm currently seeking permission from Bruce Castle Museum to use some late 19th / early 20th century photos for this page.

Categories

[edit]

Thanks for editing categories. So I get this right in future, one only includes the "lowest" category within a particular category family, right? hjuk 07:49, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that's right. Once you've put it in say Category:History of Haringey, that automatically means it's included in all the categories above it. --RFBailey 22:53, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Harringay's History vs History of Harringay

[edit]

"'s" naming convention taken from sub-article of the Featured Article Isaac Newton - Isaac Newton's early life and achievements. Is that the wrong model? Or is there a subtly different rule for that one? PS: Please provide a link for the specific naming convention. hjuk 08:34, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't put my finger on the specified Naming Convention, but the convention is always to have History of Somewhere, e.g. History of London, History of Sheffield, History of Peru, etc. --RFBailey 08:09, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
