"failed verification" tag about NRIS source

[edit]

Hi, User:Deisenbe, thank you for your improvements, editing at this article. I just removed the {{failed verification}}(?) tag which you added in the infobox following the NRIS citation. There can be no serious doubt whether NRIS is the source for the NRHP reference number, NRHP listing date, and other information there. One way this can be verified is by use of the "NRHP infobox generator" tool available from an NRHP editor's website which presents NRIS data. I suspect your tagging here was because you don't like something about the current {{NRISref}} template? There's lots about it that I do not like either. Perhaps you could post at Template talk:NRISref about that, and/or I could do so, towards making serious changes there. (I was recently grumbling seriously about this again, at wt:NRHP i think, and it is about time for something to be done.) The template is used in many thousands of NRHP place articles, so a general issue about it should be raised somewhere central, like at that Talk page with notice given to wt:NRHP, not at just one of the articles using it. --Doncram (talk) 19:23, 7 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
