[edit]May I ask why you did this and this? A municipality of Honduras (Q2602693) is not the same as a human settlement (Q486972)? A reason the have different from (P1889) is that there is a lot of confusion around these two types when one is a municipality of Honduras (Q2602693) and the other one a human settlement (Q486972). The different from (P1889) forces users to take a second look before merging. The human settlement (Q486972) may have no interwiki links but it should still no be merged with a municipality of Honduras (Q2602693).
This goes back to 2014 when geoname id first was assigned incorrectly to wikidata objects and than used to handle interwiki by bots for new articles. In this case there is a third object La Ceiba (Q25277257) that was created from geoname 3608248 by worldgazetteer in geonames 2006. worldgazetteer was often incorrect for location and population but may be correct here. I think Q25277255 based on geoname 8556321 is not a geoname type PPL instead is should be geoname type RSRT. If you agree I will request delete on cebwiki. Maundwiki (talk) 16:15, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
