Apple is facing a legal claim accusing it of effectively locking 40 million British customers into its iCloud service and charging them "rip off prices."

In February, President Joe Biden decried the concept of “shrinkflation” — cutting the amount or quality of an item, yet keeping the price static — ahead of the Super Bowl, saying that “it’s a rip off.”

But more recent reporting shows that only $4.5 billion of the settlement ended up going towards California homeowners who had been ripped off by lenders.

There were no insult comics or crude talk radio hosts or ancient wrestling stars ripping off their shirts.

Over the years, there have been accusations of unpaid royalties and ripped off songs.
