As election day looms just beyond this ancient celebration, it’s time to put the “hallow” back in Halloween.

The hallowed New York Yankees stood frozen in their dugout, stripped of their aura and bludgeoned at their essence, painfully demolished pinstripe by pinstripe.

The Dodgers are finishing October with a team of Supermen, and even the hallowed home of the hallowed pinstripes couldn’t phase them.

Any structure is a living embodiment of history, and many stadiums are hallowed ground to their fans.

The result is that we now have as many supermarket chains as we have categories of food product in those hallowed minor warehouses.
